Isn't it strange how the holidays feellonger and longerwhen in reality, they're gettingshorter. [26 days and counting]Just the perception of a person whose simply dreading the holidays I suppose. How much can one complain about a break? Much more than I ever thought possible it seems, *sighs*. Nevertheless, I think I'm doing pretty well in the attempt of keeping myself occupied. Been out buying new things, sightseeing as I'd like to call it and amazingly.. studying.

As the world grieves over the death of one of the most iconic people ever,Michael Jackson. I too am no different, I'm not the BIGGEST of MJ fans but still, I was and still am a fan. Though some people might think of him as a child molester but well, we shouldn't make an ass out of U and Me and speculate, who knows what happened for sure? // We should just be thankful for all he has done for the entertainment industry; a legend no doubt. Although he left us earlier than he should've, as most people said but he left us withmany wonderful tracks and breath-taking performances.
I remember those days when Zain would come over with a stack of MJ cds just so that kor and I would get "educated" about the king of pop. Hehe.. Thinking back, I'm thankful that he did, if not we wouldn't have known MJ's music or the kind of impact he has made in the world. MJ was a thorough entertainer; one who made millions adore him for his authenticity and style (how could we not?), things like hiscrystal gloveand thered dyed leather jacket(who cares about what the fashion police says?)Oh yeah, not forgetting his ever so famous ****** grabbing and moon walks, he'll always be the smooth criminal :).
Many have been blessed by his music over the years; beautiful both lyrically and melodically. May MJ r.i.p; thank you for redefining pop culture and taking the industry to greater heights.
"This is the final curtain call." - Michael Jackson
She's eighteen!Princess is growing right before our eyes; she'll be the first one going away to further her studies. *Sighs*. I can still recall our KK days together, princess hasn't changed much (personality wise), still thesweet, caring and fun-loving girl we all know her to be :).. BUT she has certainly grown physically; such a pretty woman now. Haha! [Pardon me if I sound mother-ish]
Aren't I right about her being pretty? hee! :)

Anywayz we celebrated her 18th at Neway, the karaoke at BTS. It was a farewell/burfday type thing and we went AT NIGHT :), certainly something new compared to our usual afternoon-till-evening trips to malls and such *beams*. The food was delicious btw, it's a pity i got stuffed so soon though. Later, we lalalala-ed all night long!!!It was a blast, singing songs that weren't particularly in our vocal range, TRYING to rap, changing the melodies and tempo in our waymade it even MORE fun and of course hysterical (in aVERY VERY good way) and then...
SNAP TIME!!!
princess and ai-li going "eh i want that song!"

For some of you that might not know it yet, I am currentlyobsessed with the movie Across The Universe. Watched it for the 6th time in the last 2 days *sticks tongue out* Totally one to check out if you're someone who enjoyed shows like MAMMA MIA!, Sweeney Todd, Moulin Rouge etc :).. It features a line-up of songs by none other than The Beatles although I must give credit to the singers in the movie who did their own version eg, T.V. Carpio when singing I Wanna Hold Your Hand and Evan Rachel Wood when singing Blackbird. Across The Universe also utilized the songs and blend it with the plot wonderfully, everything was so smooth. The movie has a few parts to it, all detached but it'll make sense in the end :).. The main characters are Jude, a lad from Liverpool // Lucy, a girl from the states and her brother, Max // a wicked singer, Sadie and her guitarist, Jojo and a lesbo asian, Prudence. This movie is aboutthe Vietnam war, UK/US, revolution, hippies, L.O.V.E, truth, justice, death, jealouslyand of coursemusic. I can't say much just that it's a great movie (in my opinion)that won't disappoint.
Yes, believe it or not, I'm kinda complaining that I'm on a break *covers mouth*. Lol! feels that way, though I knowI will regret saying thiswhen it's all over but I'll just say it for now ;>. There isn't much to keep me occupied though (despite having 2 [somewhat flexi] jobs), not that I need more jobs/work, they just, most of the time, don't really add much to my day. Plus, I haven't many hobbies so I turn to friends/family and bug them most of the time *smirks*,then again some have told me they enjoy being bugged and I know they mean it :) Haha..Besides that, I tend to laze and bum just wherever and whenever. Let me tell you about the things that SHOULD very well keep me occupied but aren't.
Before that, this is how I look like most days :\ - bored, lazy, uninspired,pffft..
Job #1: Flexi Data Entry Job where I simply just retype something from a yellow pages like book and.. Well, write down from what time till what time I did my "copying" work on a piece of paper and yeah, that's it.
Job #2: Flexi Database Type Job [for church library], it's basically like the first but it's more of a database like thing andhandling books, keying in the title, author, ISBN numbers in all accurately and stuff as such. Then again, maybe it's not called a job cause I'm not getting paid, okay not
a job,
a favour:)
Both jobs can be quite taxing sometimes as it demands a lot from the eyes; staring at a dimly lit screen for hours isNOfun , so torelief the pain; this is what I do sometimes Xp
Haha! There's no internet so yeah, paint;PAINT! Xp
I'm sure some of you might have seen this on
ART ATTACKbefore :D
Not TOObad I hope, Lol, I can definitely do better if it was hand-drawn :P
(will upload one hand drawn one soon! Xp)
Why red highlights you ask?Just because it's HOT :)
Piercing?Same as the above
Blue checked shirt?Fav colour! *beams*
Another one, this ones.. Hmm, don't really know
Just started drawing away andta'da!?!
but I like the colours anywayz :]
Let's hope my days to come before college starts will magically become more productive and meaningful.
Afternoon was when i awoke from sleep, had a rather long and pleasant sleep due to the new sheets i guess, hehe. The day went on as usual though despite the delay in time: TV, online, food, pee, sleep. Can you imagine, these are the 5 things that I've been doing repeatedly ever since my finals were over in May, very "productive" I know but I must admit that I have somewhat a high level of laziness and refuse to do anything that would involve physical movement (uhh, yeah.. that lazy). Not that I'm proud of it, but am guilty of it and do address the matter :)
Anywayz, let's fast-forward till dinner time. Daddy had the sudden urge to go to KLCC so off we went, and returned home merely with a copy of Property Magazine and some Auntie Anne's but AH-HAH! this is where my brother and I both noticed some facts that in our opinion, vividly screamed recession.
- For those of you who might not know, Auntie Anne's little containers for caramel sauce has SHRUNK!
exhibit A: my brother, Kevin holding a smaller version of the former slightly taller container of caramel sauce
- A soft drink costing RM4.50?? Yeah, apparently the RASA food court has this breakfast promotion where any meal would cost just RM4, BUT a drink added to the meal would cost RM8.50!! Kor said it could be extremely brilliant or extremely stupid. Daddy corrected, "It's definitely more stupid than brilliant" hehe..
exhibit B: excuse the slightly shaken photo, words aren't as clear too, but basically it says what it says, need I say more?
Strange things are happening during this economically fragile time, but then again, maybe it's just me :]
Shit!It has only been a few days since I last talked and webcam-ed with Denise, [my best friend since I could remember] and I'm already missing her like how a wife misses her husband when he's away on a business trip. Difference is, "he'll" come back, Denise won't; or not yet, 2 years time she says but whose to say for sure. I miss you, babe! Wish you were somehow back here // I am still somehow unable to grasp the fact that I've made it through half of my teenage life without her physically being here. Despite that, I turned out okay I guess; not an emotional wreck, a *ahem* or a drug dealer of some sort but i BET i would be way better than I am now if she were still here :)
She says she wants to come back KL cause she doesn't want her future son to be a druggie and her future daughter, a slut. Haha! Anyone's life would definitely be a whole different ball game in the US. I can't even begin to express how proud I am of her, adapting well, staying true to herself, doing great in school, standing firm on her principles and not shaken by her peers *smiles proudly*. Oh, not forgetting, having a great guy alongside her, Nate. He takes good care of her, hehe :). She's the same, it's almost as if Denise had nothing that America could really influence only the other way around *hugs*
Amazing how the years pass without really "warning" anyone, some say its sort of like a theft in the night. We're finally both 18 y/o this year [i remembered how we thought we'd never get there at one point, haha!] Throughout the years we've shared many secrets, kept many secrets, stood by each other through thick and thin and became each others handkerchief whenever needed. Hehe. Thank you for being that person who always gave me a helping hand or a lending ear, slapped me when I freaked out and kicked tha crap out of me whenever I messed up. Haha! You have always saw the best in me and hence brought out the best in me :'). So until both your feet land on KL ground once more, i love ya Denise Marie Teoh Poh Sim! XOXO
Most of the time, not always, when people say something (regardless whether good or bad), we tend to focus more on HOWthey say it, not so much the content and hence feel or react based on how that something was said. Eg, "You really think so?" compared to "You RREEAAALLLYY (slight pause) think so?" aka *in an i-can't-believe-she's-thinking-otherwise tone*. DUH the second one sounds more insulting. Simply as an obeservant individual, I find it rather disturbingthat people don't watch the way they say things, it can often come across in a less than respectful manner [which is the least you can be toward another individual] I'm sure most people agree with that one, especially if you have been on the receiving end of something as such.
On the other hand, the way goodthings are said can be enhanced with dynamics, tone and even expressions to make a good remark, well.. better. Again, "That looks great!" with "That looks G.R.E.A.T!" *beams*+*thumbs up*+*nods head*. Of course it's a good thing, it's as simple as black and white, Batman and Joker or the PPGs and Mojojojo? Well, you get me. Thing is, I'm suprised at how people can misuse these "combinations" (primarily when something bad is being said) and therefore make others feel like crap.
No, I didn't get offended in that way today but i overheard a conversation of an insulter and an insultee.
Guy: "Why can't you get it right!?! This (slight pause) comes after this and that" *kind of tone that you would be talking to a baby with*
Girl: "Sorry, it's difficult. I'm trying my best."
Guy: "I don't know what's SO *dragged and exaggerated* difficult. ANYONE *looks duh-ly at girl* can do it.
Short yet pretty offending wouldn'tcha say? Everyone is different and therefore have different levels of understanding, different opinions, different principles etc. Some are faster at understanding things compared to others but remember, just cause someone is faster doesn't mean him/her better. They're just different from those who aren't as fast as them ;) // i was THIS close to approaching and speaking my mind but then again it's not good to get into other peoples beezewax so yeah, THINK about how someone would take your remark before you decide to actually tell it and if you know they're not going to take it well. Hmm, rephrase? lol. It's all in the way :)
There she is, with me in black (using a different colour because of my template :P) with a yellow ribbon in her hair during last last years choir competition. A friend since i was 13, a geng tae-kwon-do chic, my head banger sister and partner in crime :)
Man, I haven't seen her in ages, everyone has been busy with their own thing this holiday. Thank goodness we (Jemy and I) took time off to meet her today. We watched I Love You, Man at KLCC = Good acting by Jason Segel + lots of the word "fcuk" + many awkward moments (though the movie was suppose to be that way, slightly boring cause of repetition) + SLAPPIN' THE BASS, MON!, a good comedy all in all :). Oh yeah, I also saw, wait no, heard about another side of her that i apparently wasn't aware of, won't mention here | teeheee! Anywayz, we then walked to pavi and wandered aimlessly because everyone didn't have anything to buy so just stopped by whenever any one of us went "oooo!!" Lol, I miss hanging out with her, she's always busy with assignments and her holidays ending soon *sighs*
MAKAN!! Sakae Sushi's service is pretty bad despite having modern touch-screen menus that speed orders up, keep the waiters free and all, not to mention small straws

I went home missing both Jemy and Wey Yin's company. Funny how a day with such company passes by that quick, but should be hanging out soon though *beams*
