Someone once asked me, if I had to choose... Would I rather be alone or with a crowd, silly question I thought. Obviously it would depend on numerous context, so I couldn't really give a proper answer. I went home, pondered... Without a context, would it even be possible to give an absolute answer? One that would generalize across the board no matter where you are, what climate, what culture, what language, what atmosphere. Ambivalent? Indefinitely. I was determined to give an answer. Simply the platitude of a 'kiasu' little homosapien, you know. And so, one day when I met up with this friend again... I answered... "Alone" and she went... "What?"... I repeated, "Alone. I'd rather be alone... In a crowd."
I'd like to be in this perpetual state of isolation and yet be right smack-dab in the middle of it all. Why? Because you get everything... It's like a win-win situation, and the other win is for yourself. Greedy, wishful, and mindless? Yup, all of it.
